Great Wolf Swim
Club offers a program for all ability levels. The goal of all swimmers is to continually
improve. Part of the fun of competitive swimming is feeling how much better you are getting.
Each of the programs listed below is designed to provide the correct level of instruction
and participation to keep swimmers improving and having fun. Consult with a coach for
any questions you have about which program is best suited to you.

Check the pool schedule for availability.
Pups:
This is our entry level program. Swimmers need to be able to easily swim a length of a 25 yard
pool. Emphasis is put on learning the four basic strokes, starts and turns. Practices last 1 hour
and swimmers are encouraged to attend 2- 3/week but may attend more or less.

· Practice for
1 hour two or more times a week.
· Compete in beginning level meets as soon and often as possible.
· Swimmers require a swimsuit and goggles for practice.

Trackers:
This program teaches swimmers more advanced competitive swimming skills and the very basics of
training. Practices are for 1 1/2 hours and swimmers are encouraged to attend 2- 3 or more times
a week but may attend more or less as they desire.
· Practice for 1 ½ hours
two or more times a week.
· Compete in beginning level meets and mid level B/C meets.
· Swim fins, suit and goggles are required equipment for practice. |
Hunters:
This program fine tunes strokes, starts & turns and develops good training habits. Moderate
training for stroke work is begun. Practice lasts 1 1/2 hours and swimmers are encouraged to practice
3 or more times per week.
· Practice for 1 ½ hours
three or more times a week.
· Compete in A, B/C and Championship level meets.
· Swim fins, suit, goggles, and a kick board is required equipment for practice. |
Alpha
Leaders:
Top-level youth program. These swimmers train hard for both stroke improvement and conditioning
while maintaining and improving racing skills. Practice 4 or more times per week for up to 2 hours.
· Practice for 2 hours four or
more times a week year round.
· Compete in A and Championship level meets.
· Fins, suit, goggles, kick board, and pull buoy are required for practice. |
Varsity:
Experienced high school team swimmers age 13 to adult. These swimmers train for stroke improvement
and conditioning while improving racing skills. Practice with the Senior group up to 2 hours per
practice up to 6 times per week.
· Practice for 2 hours five times
a week.
· Compete in A, B/C and Championship level meet.
· Equipment required for practice is swimsuit, goggles, fins, and kick-board. |
National Squad:
This program is for the most dedicated and committed swimmers ages 13 to adult. These swimmers
train hard for stroke improvement and conditioning while improving racing skills to there highest
level. Practice 5 to 10 times per week.
· Practice 5 to 10 times a week.
Train year round at a high level.
· Compete in A, Championship, and National level meets.
· Equipment required for practice is swimsuit, goggles, fins, kick-board, pull-buoy,
and hand paddles. Consult with your coach about the best equipment choices. |
Moving up to the next practice
level will occur with the recommendation of your present level coach and approval of the next
level coach. Talk to your coaches about your goals and needs.
